Medical Writing
Most medical writers have a specialty they prefer. As a Dietitian Writer, my expertise naturally falls into the nutrition category. But, my interests and knowledge encompass many other medical areas including heart health, cholesterol management, bone health, cancer prevention, natural health, nutrition supplementation, herbal medicine, depression and autoimmune disease. I am able to write and edit a variety of medical education and health marketing materials in these areas and on general health care topics as well.

Medicine is a complicated arena. Unfortunately, doctors and researchers have a tendency to use highly technical language or “science speak” that patients just don’t understand. I can extract the real meaning from complex medical information to compose clear, concise patient communications such as:

Medical Presentation Editing
Continuing education and research presentations are commonplace in the medical industry. Health care providers are extremely intelligent – but, they are extremely busy too – so presentations should be smart, while also being clear and concise. Each slide should provide simple, memorable messages. I can effectively review and edit medical presentations for accuracy and clarity. With experience in PowerPoint, I am able to quickly review presentations to insure they are consistent and easy-to-understand while making hands-on corrections where necessary.
