Web Management

Effective Website Management

Effective website management requires the ability to think globally and strategically. There are many elements to consider:

  • What will the site actually to do? (Sell? Educate? Inspire?)
  • Is there room for the site to expand?
  • How will new content and updates be added?
  • Will visitors be able to find the site on Google?

In short, web management takes a lot of thought! It’s not just about a pretty design. A great website has to be easy-to-navigate while also containing interesting web copy that visitors and search engines will love. That’s where my whole brain approach really kicks in. I am able to help you with the full spectrum of services - the art (design and copy) and science (coding and web analysis) - of a website. I truly understand it all!

Organized Project Management

In addition to being experienced in all elements of web management, I am extremely organized and detail-oriented. While I am not a designer, I have worked with designers and programmers in planning effective sites since 2001. Every web project needs an organized manager, and I can effectively fulfill that role, while actually providing hands-on assistance in image selection, HTML coding, and of course writing the site content. I can manage all types of projects including:

  • Web Maintenance – If you already have a website, sometimes all you need are updates, domain management or web hosting assistance. I can manage all of the technical details in a timely manner at a very cost-effective rate.

  • Website Redesigns – For small sites (under 20 pages) I can revise not only the written content, but the entire look and feel of your site to match your brand and mission. I work from professionally-designed templates using your colors and logo to give you a simple, clean look.

  • Website Rewrites – If you are content with your site’s design, I will simply rewrite and refresh your copy on a page-by-page basis to give it more impact while incorporating web marketing elements and SEO.

  • Web Content Transfer – For large sites, content transfer is a huge challenge. If you are transferring content into a new Content Management System (CMS) or to a new web platform, I can help you insure a seamless transition.

When I take on a new website project or web redesign, I consider it my baby. I dedicate all of my attention to nurturing it to life by combining the vital pieces – design, coding, web copy, web marketing – so that the end result is happy and full of life.
